COLLABORATION: Photoshoot With David Lee Black

Recently, I was invited for a photoshoot at David Lee Black's studio.
David is a well known talented photographer exhibiting throughout the New England area. The subjects of his photography vary from ballet dancers, philosophical investigations, every day’s scenery to portraits.

“My photographs are an attempt to understand the process of creation. They represent a pilgrimage seeking answers to which the questions as well as the answers are wordless. I regard photography not just as a way of seeing but as a way of living, a search or a journey worth making.”

It was a fun time modeling for a very creative photographer such as David. Currently, he is working on a few photo projects. Here are some highlights of our shoot.

I got very lucky to pose on an exquisitely crafted bike created by Scottie Porges, a custom masterpiece named “Lucifer’s Hammer”.

ART STORIES: Flying Art

Here is a fun story for you!

Throughout the years, many times my art has been transported by “Planes, Trains, and Automobile”, just like a title of the classic movie.

But this time was different… this time it was a really special delivery!

Recently, I have sold framed 24X36 original “Girls Night Out-Tatyana” painting at Trattoria Zooma restaurant in Providence, RI. My buyer is out of state collector. He has decided to get my painting form RI to MA in a fun way: flown by his private two-seater plane! :-)

Watch my short (about 3 min) video to find out more details about the Flying Art story!

MEETING ALEXANDER SHOROKHOFF

This August I had the honor of meeting  Alexander Shorokhoff, a luxury watchmaker from Germany, in Newport, Rhode Island. Alexander had an event for his collectors at Grenon's of Newport where he showcases his watches. People throughout the country came to see Alexander and to view and purchase his beautiful handcrafted watches. I was fortunate to experience this event!

After the event, I had an opportunity to take Alexander Shorokhoff to Providence to experience our lovely Federal Hill. Thank you, Trattoria Zooma for an extra special dinner for us! It was bsolutely delicious!

Over the dinner, we discussed art, design, projects, and visions. You could say that our artistic sense of color and design unintentionally are in sync.

Alexander shared with me that his watch Kandy Avangarde got nominated for the German Design Award 2019, which is very exciting news. Good luck Mr. Shorokhoff!
